The final programme on the 9th had been preceded by a whole week of cultural contests, and the final programme featured ony the winning items. So, as may be imagined, it was especially enjoyable. The college teacher members had judged the contests and they said they found it difficult to decide on the winners. Here, we present items presented on the final day.
The audience consisted of the Superior of Avila Convent, Dr. Sister Reema A.C., the sisters from the four convents on the campus, the teacher members of the association, the hostellers of Patna Women's College, who teach in the literacy centres and the children of the Literacy Project, together with the ICWA Alumni. All enjoyed the programme as well as the snacks provided.
The week's activities, as well as the Final Programme, were organised by our alumnus, Sanjeet Kumar Kailash, who has just completed his Master's in Social Work. This was part of his training with us and all the children brought up their own items under Sanjeet's supervision. They were based on the two themes given by Sanjeet : Literacy and ICWA Values. Sister Carol was available for consultation and encouragement.
Here are winning titbits from the effort.
